New Gardner White Float Unveiling at The Parade Company

On Wednesday, October 19th, The Parade Company hosted a Parade Preview Party for GW employees, friends, and families to get a first look at the brand new “It All Starts Here!” Gardner White float for America’s Thanksgiving Parade.

The 140ft long float features iconic Detroit-born inventions, trends, and firsts including the first tri-colored street light, the first paved road, techno music, coney dogs, the first Van Gogh piece displayed in a museum (the DIA), and the first Gardner White store that opened on Fort Street in downtown Detroit.

Watch WDIV’s coverage of the unveiling below or read their full coverage of the event over on their site.

America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White is only 5 weeks away! Join us on November 24th on Woodward Avenue to experience the new float in person, or stream the parade on ClickOnDetroit or WDIV Local 4 from the comfort of your own home.
