Gardner-White Gives Back to Local Children in Partnership with Lighthouse

Michigan schools are officially closed for the rest of the year due to the government mandate over the Coronavirus. While this is a necessary step to make sure our community gets back to a healthy state, many children are missing out on school breakfasts and lunches that they needed and may not have been able to get at home. Here enters Lighthouse.

Lighthouse of Oakland County provides a stronger response to poverty in our community. Their goal is to be ‘A New Beacon of Hope’ for those in need and provide a larger reach across all of southeastern Michigan. By coming together, the agency will be able to provide more services for more people. Their work is centered around building communities that end homelessness and helping people move from crisis toward self-sufficiency.

Lighthouse is distributing food donations to those in need in our community! Food donations are desperately needed! Many children rely on their school for two meals a day and even more adults are now out of work, as bars and restaurants close.

You can drop off non-perishable food donations at our Auburn Hills Warehouse from 12-6pm daily. If you’re unable to donate food, you are able to donate monetarily here.

Gardner-White has been around town picking up food donations and delivering them to Lighthouse! If you see one of our trucks driving around, wave hi!
